Heart Prints
Whatever our hands touch...we leave
fingerprints on.
On walls, on furniture, on door knobs,
dishes and books.
As we touch we leave our identity..
Oh please where ever I go today...
help me leave heart prints.
Heart prints of compassion,
understanding and love.
Heart prints of kindness and genuine concern.
May my heart touch a lonely neighbor...
or a runaway daughter...
or an anxious mother...
or perhaps a dear friend!
I shall go out today...
to leave heart prints...
and if some one should say...
"I felt your touch!"

Sometimes I do
In your light I learn how to love
In your beauty, how to make poems
You dance inside my chest
where no one sees you.
But sometimes I do.
And that light becomes this art.
— Rumi

Always do your best
Your best changes from moment to moment, sick or well, tired or rested. Remember that you are an imperfect human being. There is no value to judging yourself for “failing” - and no truth to it either. There should be no regrets. When you are not impeccable, when you take something personally, or make an assumption, you are still doing your best, and you are still a beloved child of Spirit. Agree to always do your best, with love and acceptance for the imperfect divine human that you are. The other key to doing your best revolves about being in action. Action is about living fully. Inaction is the way that we deny life.
-Don Miguel Ruiz, The Four Agreements
Excellence is the result of caring more than others think wise, risking more than others think safe, dreaming more than others think practical, and expecting more than others think possible.

Don't be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones tend to take care of themselves.
— Dale Carnegie
Desire is the key to motivation, but it's the determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek.

We are at our very best, and we are happiest, when we are fully engaged in work we enjoy on the journey toward the goal we've established for ourselves. It gives meaning to our time off and comfort to our sleep. It makes everything else in life so wonderful, so worthwhile.
— Earl Nightingale
Motivational and Inspirational sites are abundant on the Internet. So what's different about this one? I believe it takes BOTH the Sound of the words and the Light of visual images to fire our imaginations and inspire us to be the Best.
Here you will find beautiful words, along with original images created by an Inspired Soul. Together they present a more complete approach than either words or pictures alone could do. In creating this site, I find inspiration to be, do, and expect the Best. Please feel free to stay awhile and perhaps find some inspiration too!

The Road Not Taken
TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference
— Robert Frost 1874-1963
Some of the best lessons we ever learn are learned from past mistakes. The error of the past is the wisdom and success of the future.
— Dale E. Turner
Be careful...
Be careful of your thoughts, for your thoughts inspire your words. Be careful of your words, for your words precede your actions. Be careful of your actions, for your actions become your habits. Be careful of your habits, for your habits build your character. Be careful of your character, for your character decides your destiny.
— Chinese proverb
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.

If a man is called to be a streetsweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great streetsweeper who did his job well.
— Martin Luther King, Jr.
